The wide open spaces of Texas.

An old 66 alignment in Texas.

Here we are checking out our motorcycle guys again while they are taking pics of a restored gas station. It was a bit odd how we kept seeing each other although we had completely different destinations.

Another nice one.

An Elvis sighting on the wall.

I didn't notice how the mural blended in with the sky until I posted this picture. Kind of neat.

Rolls of barbed wire at the entrance. Notice the motorcycles in the background. These belong to the motorcycle guys we first saw in Oklahoma at the Totem Pole.

Nathan thought this was fascinating. What can I say.

A diner exhibit inside the museum.

A hat exhibit in the Devil's Rope Museum in McLean, Texas. Devil's rope is all about barbed wire (or bob war).

An old and worn mural.

I'm sure this must have been a thrilling attraction once upon a time.

Another restored 'filling station'.

A piece of the original Blarney Stone imported from Ireland to Shamrock, Texas in 1959. Everything in the entire town is associated with something Irish.

An establishment that has seen better days.

The next morning.

Conoco station and the U Drop Inn in Shamrock, Texas. The U Drop Inn is another place that directly inspired Ramone's Body Shop in the Cars movie.

We enter the state of Texas at twilight.
